AIMS

Increasing the opportunities for local and overseas elderly to get in touch, so as to build up friendship, broaden their social networks and improve interpersonal relationships. By joining the Cultural Exchange Program, elderly can widen their horizons, enhance their confidence and build up positive attitude towards life through mutual respect and care.

We offer Day Camp, Evening Camp and Overnight Camp. All registered and affiliated organizations or overseas voluntary associations are welcomed to book our Centre. For interested parties, there should be one representative aged 18 or above to take charge of the application and related matters.

Remarks  

1) The number of campers living in the

    room must not exceed the number of beds.

2) If the number of campers exceeds

    the number of beds, the applicant has

    to pay the charge difference. Each bed

    per night per person costs $ 240.

[Application Details]
  1. We have 26 quadruple rooms and 23 double rooms which can accommodate a total of 150 people.

  2. If the actual number of campers turns out to exceed the number of campers enrolled in the application, the Centre reserves the rights to reject the extra campers, or charge each of them DOUBLE camping fee plus an additional administrative fee at $200.

  3. Interested parties shall apply three months prior to the camping period. We will have a draw two months before the camping month. e. g. If an interested party wants to apply for a camp in August, they should submit their application form by May. We will have a draw in early June and then inform the applicant of the result. To apply for camp within 2 months from the date of submitting the application, interested parties may call the Centre to check for vacancies before submission. We do not accept application for any camp held within one month.

  4. Priority will be given to senior citizens aged 55 or above when we do the draw or make other related arrangements.

  5. Camps cannot be booked for over two weeks.

  6. Please fill in the application form and mail it to Helping Hand Cheung Muk Tau Holiday Centre for the Elderly, Nin Wah Road, Cheung Muk Tau North, Sai Kung, New Territories, Hong Kong or email to bookcamp@helpinghand.org.hk

  7. No parking lot will be provided in the Centre.

  8. All information in the application form will only be handled by authorized staffs of Helping Hand which will not be provided to third parties.

  9. We reserve the rights to adjust the above information and criteria without any prior notification.



[Payment and Application Adjustment]
  1. Deposit payment: After the draw, we will inform all concerned parties about the result either through email or in writing. Deposit of 50% of the full camp fee is required. Upon receiving our deposit invoice, applicants should pay the deposit before the deadline (usually 25 days after the invoice date) (Please make your crossed cheque payable to “Helping Hand”). Applicant who fails to pay by the deadline will be considered as withdrawing from the application.

  2. Balance payment: The remaining amount has to be paid at least 30 days before the camping date. Applicant who fails to pay by the deadline will be considered as withdrawing from the application. All deposits will not be refunded.
  3. Deferral of payment: Written application is required for any deferral of payment and it is subject to our approval.

  4. Change of camping date: Written application has to be made 30 days before the camping date. Change is allowed once only and it is subject to availability.

  5. Increasing the number of campers or changing the meals: Applicant can request to increase the camper number or change the meals 30 days before the camping date. Alteration for the first time is free of charge but further changes will be subject to an administrative charge of $200 each time and our approval. Increasing the number of campers and meals would be confirmed only when payment is received by us.

  6. Reducing the number of campers: Applicant can apply 30 days before the camping date. Reduction of number of campers is allowed once only and the related deposit will not be refunded. If applicant fails to apply 30 days before the camping date, applicant has to pay the camp fee in full.

  7. Cancellation of the camp: Fee will not be refunded for any occasion if applicant cancels the booking on his/her own or campers are absent from the camp.
